202 Basketball Africa League (BAL) Season Set To Tip-Off In March
December 16, 2022
The 2023 Basketball Africa League (BAL) season will tip off on Saturday, March 11 in Dakar, Senegal, the home of the BAL. Like last year, the third season will feature the top 12 club teams from 12 African countries playing a total of 38 games over three months in Dakar; Cairo, Egypt and Kigali, Rwanda.
The league is thrilled to return to these three iconic African cities in the caravan format envisioned since the launch of the BAL, which has allowed more fans to experience the excitement of this world-class league up close and in-person.
The atmosphere in all three cities last year was incredible, culminating with Tunisia’s US Monastir defeating Angola’s Petro de Luanda to win the 2022 BAL Finals in front of a sold-out crowd of 10,000 at BK Arena in Kigali.
The goal of the BAL is to create new opportunities in sport, media, tourism, technology, entertainment, and fashion across Africa, and to provide a platform for the continent’s best players to showcase their talent and inspire our youth.
We believe that the BAL can become one of the top professional basketball leagues in the world and a leading African lifestyle and entertainment brand.
